The Las Cruces Catholic School (LCCS) PTO would like to welcome you to our school! As the parent/guardian of a LCCS student, you are automatically a member of the PTO. No registration or payment of dues is required.

The PTO's mission is to establish a close relationship between home and school by helping parents to become involved in the school community. It is our belief that the team effort of parents and teachers offers the best possible learning environment for our children.

Participation through attendance at PTO meetings gives you a voice. You help decide what we do as a group and where our money should go. New ideas and suggestions are always welcome!!

Volunteering doesn't have to mean a huge time commitment. And, whatever your time schedule and interests, we need you! We have tasks that can be performed in the evenings, during the day, and even from home.

Becoming active is easy - and it really makes a difference. Remember, PTO meetings, as well as any activities you help with, count toward your 50 required yearly service hours.

Accomplishments:

• Raised money and built new playground for preschool and kindergarten
  
• Brought in Asombro Institute for Science Education for elementary students (ongoing)
  
• Purchased cameras for yearbook use
• Raised money for new technology. (08-09) and middle school athletic equipment
• Helped coordinate Fall Festival and Christmas Craft Fair - all monies allocated for classroom supplies and teacher and staff bonuses
• Helped to coordinate Catholic Schools Week and Teacher Appreciation Week
• Family Fun Free Movie Nights
• Christmas Poinsettia Sale
• Purchased stools for use with computers in the library

All meetings will be held at 5:30 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) across from the main office unless otherwise announced.

Watch the calendar for reminders! PTO newsletters will be sent home with students and will include minutes of meetings, future meeting dates, upcoming events and other PTO news.

Below are some ongoing activities that we have at LCCS to help us raise money at no cost to parents. Please help us with these!

I) Box Tops - please clip and save "Box Tops for Education" from many products such as cereal, tissues. etc. We have contests between the classrooms several times a year. Help your child's class and help the school! More information on products that have box tops or other ways to get bonus box tops can be found at boxtops4education.com.

2)   Campbell's Soup labels - these are also on Goldfish cracker bags and Spaghettios

3)   Price's Creamery, milk jug caps.

4)   Albertson's Community Partner Cards - LCCS receives at least 1% of all sales! Please hand these out to any friends or family members who shop at Albertson's. Just scan the card at checkout and LCCS receives money!
